  • 2 1/2 lb. lean beef stew meat
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 6 carrots
  • 1 c. celery
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. canned tomatoes
  • 1 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Cut vegetables in serving pieces.

    Combine all ingredients in a roasting pan.

    Cover and bake at 300° for 3 to 3 1/2 hours or until done.

    Can be baked at 250° for 3 1/2 to 5 hours.
