- 8 tomatoes, sliced 1/2-inch thick
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. light cream
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Dust tomato slices with flour seasoned with salt, pepper and sugar.

2Brown lightly in butter and transfer to a baking dish. Stir cream, sugar and soda into pan drippings, blending well. Pour over tomatoes and bake at 325° for 15 to 20 minutes.
