Banana Bread

Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. mashed ripe bananas (2 or 3)
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar plus milk to make 1/2 c. liquid
Directions

1Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Cream the shortening, sugar and eggs, one at a time.

2Beat until fluffy. Add flour mixture alternately with bananas and liquid, beating well after each addition. Turn into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 60 to 70 minutes or until done. Remove from oven and cool, then remove from pan.

3Allow to cool for several hours before slicing.
