- 34 cup sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 14 cup vegetable shortening, melted
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 14 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 large eggs
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup walnuts (optional)

1The best way to combine the ingredients is to put either the eggs or the melted shortening in first, followed by the dry ingredients, followed by the last ingredient (shortening or eggs.)

2It doesn't really matter how they are combined but if the shortening and eggs mix together, you may find your eggs being fried before your very eyes.

3Once it's in the bowl, mix until combined (but don't overmix), pour into a loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes.

4Then sit back and watch it disappear!
