- 2/3 c. butter or Crisco, creamed
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 c. mashed bananas
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. sour cream or sour milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 egg whites, beaten until stands in peaks
Directions

1Cream first 4 ingredients.

2Sift together flour, soda and salt.

3Add flour mixture, sour cream and vanilla to creamed ingredients.

4Mix well.

5Fold in beaten egg whites.

6Bake in two 9-inch layers or a 13 x 9-inch cake pan.

7Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes.

8Frost with Buttercream or Cream Cheese Frosting.
