  • 2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. shortening or margarine
  • 2 medium ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice or vinegar
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together and beat at low speed for 2 minutes.

    Pour into a 9 x 5-inch pan, greased on the bottom.

    Bake at 350° for 55 to 65 minutes, or until springs back when lightly touched.
