Banana Nut Bread

13 ingredients
5 steps

Ingredients

  • 3-1/2 whole Ripe Bananas
  • 1-1/2 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoons Nutmeg
  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter, Room Temperature
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs (I Prefer Brown Eggs)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cups Sour Cream
  • 3/4 cups Chopped Walnuts

Directions

  1. 1
Set oven to 350°F and butter your loaf pan. Mash the bananas in a bowl until creamy, but some chunks are left. Set aside.
  2. 2
Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. 3
Beat together butter and sugar with a mixer until creamy, then add eggs one at a time. From this point on, just use a large spoon instead of a mixer. Stir in bananas, vanilla, and sour cream. Then stir in dry ingredients and walnuts.
  4. 4
Pour mixture into buttered loaf pan, put on a baking sheet on the middle rack for about an hour until you can put a knife in and it's clean when you take it out.
  5. 5
Some people like it plain, some with a little butter, but however you like yours, I hope you like it! Enjoy!
