Banana Nut Bread

  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 4 c. flour
  • 6 large very ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 c. finely chopped pecans

    Cream together butter

    eggs, one at a time, beating

    well after each addition. Sift dry ingredients together and add

    creamed

    mixture.

    Add bananas and nuts. Pour into well greased loaf pans and bake at 250° to 300° from 1 to 2 hours. A few of the pecans may be saved for sprinkling over the top of each loaf before baking.
