- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. grated orange peel
- 1 c. mashed bananas
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Stir thoroughly the first 4 ingredients.

2Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.

3Add eggs and peeling; beat well. Combine bananas and milk; add to creamed mixture alternately with flour mixture, beating just until smooth after each addition.

4Stir in nuts.

5Turn into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.

6Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.

7Makes 1 loaf.
