- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- dash of salt
- 4 eggs (room temperature), separated
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 35 to 45 vanilla wafers
- 5 to 6 fully ripe bananas
Directions

1Combine sugar, salt and flour.

2In another bowl, beat egg yolks with fork; add milk and vanilla.

3Mix dry ingredients into milk mixture and cook over medium heat until it boils.

4Let boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.

5In a 1 1/2-quart casserole, pour 1/3 pudding mixture and make a layer.

6Add 1/3 bananas and 1/3 wafers. Repeat 2 more layers.

7Spread with meringue over top and bake at 325° for about 10 minutes or until brown.
