- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- dash of salt
- 4 eggs, separated
- 2 c. canned milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 35 or more vanilla wafers
- 4 or 5 bananas (fully ripe)
Directions

1Combine 1/2 cup sugar, flour and salt in container (I use a skillet).

2Stir in 4 egg yolks and milk; blend well.

3Cook, stirring constantly until thick.

4Add vanilla.

5Crush wafers and mash bananas; stir together.

6Pour the thickened filling over wafers and bananas and stir.

7Beat egg whites until stiff.

8Add sugar.

9Beat and pour on top of mix.

10Bake until browned.
