Banana Split Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 c. ripe bananas, peeled
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. maraschino cherries, drained and halved
  • chopped nuts (if desired)

Directions

    Puree bananas.

    Combine flour, sugar, soda, salt and cinnamon in large bowl.

    Add bananas, pineapple, eggs, oil and vanilla. Also nuts.

    Mix until well blended.

    Stir in cherries.

    Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Bake in 350° oven for 30 to 35 minutes.

    Cool for 30 minutes.

    Spread with a white frosting.
