- 32 oz. can Van Camp's pork and beans
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. barbecue sauce
- 2 capfulls liquid smoke
- 2 Tbsp. chopped dried onion or 1/4 c. freshly chopped onion
- 1/4 c. bell pepper (if desired)
Directions

1Empty contents of beans.

2Add brown sugar, smoke sauce, onion and barbecue sauce of your choice.

3For added flavor, add bacon. Bake, covered, at 325° for 1 hour.

4After 1 hour, remove lid and stir contents.

5Cover and bake one more hour.
