Ingredients
- 2 1/2 to 3 lb. beef chuck roast
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. celery, diced
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 5 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c. catsup
- 3 tsp. chili powder
- 1 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Place raw meat in roaster.

2Place onion and celery on top of meat.

3Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat.

4Cover and bake in a 350° oven until beef is very tender and well done and will shred when picked apart.

5Remove from roaster and shred with forks while still hot.

6Return to sauce in roaster.

7Add salt and pepper to taste.

8Serve in hamburger buns.

9Makes 15 to 20.
