Ingredients
- 1 large (15 lb.) beef roast
- 2 bottles Open Pit hickory barbecue sauce
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 lb. brown sugar
Directions

1Cook roast; cool 24 hours.

2Slice paper thin or as thin as possible.

3Mix barbecue sauce, onion and brown sugar.

4Warm until sugar melts.

5In crock-pot or roaster, alternate layers of meat and sauce.

6(If not enough sauce, add small amount of tomato juice.)

7Press into pot until meat is covered.

8Bake or cook slow 275° for 3 to 4 hours.

9Serve on buns.

10Pork can be substituted for beef.
