Ingredients
- 7 or 8 lb. brisket
- 1 bottle liquid smoke
- 1 large onion
- 1 carton sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. paprika
- 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 Tbsp. pepper, ground
- 1 bottle barbecue sauce
Directions

1Marinate brisket in liquid smoke overnight, covered.

2Drain next day and sprinkle paprika, garlic and pepper on brisket.

3Slice onion and celery and cover seasoned brisket.

4Wrap tightly in foil and bake in slow oven at 250° for 5 or 6 hours, according to size of brisket.

5Remove from oven and let cool.

6Drain and remove celery and onion.

7Slice and pour barbecue sauce over sliced brisket and return to a 400° oven for 1 hour.
