- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 rib celery, chopped
- 1 medium size green pepper, chopped
- 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 c. ketchup
- 1 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
Directions

1Heat 4 tablespoons butter or margarine in a large skillet. Add chopped vegetables and cook.

2Stir 5 minutes.

3Stir in the catsup, water, brown sugar and vinegar; heat to boiling.

4Reduce heat; simmer about 30 minutes longer, covered.

5Stir once or twice.

6Serve over rice, noodles or mashed potatoes or toast. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
