Barbecue Venison

- 2 slices bacon
- 1 lb. venison, cut into cubes
- 1/2 c. onion
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/4 c. red wine
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Directions

1Cook bacon until crisp; drain, reserve drippings.

2Crumble bacon and set aside.

3Cook venison and onion in drippings until browned.

4In saucepan, combine ketchup, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, 1/2 cup water, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.

5Stir in venison and onion.

6Cover and simmer until venison is tender, about 45 to 55 minutes.

7This also can be made in crock-pot.

8Serve over rice or on a sandwich.
