Ingredients
- 3 lb. chuck roast
- shortening
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. catsup
- 1 c. water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 small head cabbage, finely shredded
- buns
Directions

1Trim fat from meat and brown in shortening in a Dutch oven. Combine all other ingredients, except cabbage and buns.

2Place meat in a roasting pan, pour sauce over it and cover.

3Bake at 325° for about 3 hours.

4Remove meat from oven and shred with two forks.

5Mix with sauce in pan.* When ready to serve, heat meat in sauce and serve on buns with shredded cabbage.
