Ingredients

  • 1 (3 or 4 lb.) fish
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onions
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 1 c. tomato catsup
  • 1 Tbsp. fat or bacon grease
  • 1/3 c. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper

Directions

    Place fish in greased shallow pan; sprinkle with salt and pepper.

    Lightly brown onions in fat.

    Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 5 minutes, then pour over fish.

    Bake in hot oven (425°) for 35 to 40 minutes.

    Baste fish with sauce while cooking. Serves 6.
