- 4 tsp. finely chopped onions
- 1 Tbsp. butter or fat drippings
- 4 tsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 c. vegetable liquid or meat broth
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 2/3 c. cooked or canned vegetable puree
Directions

1Cook first 2 ingredients together in saucepan for 5 minutes. Blend next 3 ingredients into mixture.

2Add vegetable liquid or meat broth to mixture, slowly.

3Stir and boil slowly for 2 minutes.

4Add last 2 ingredients to mixture, heat thoroughly and serve at once.
