Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. lean grnd beef
  • 2 med. onions, diced
  • 2 c. minced celery
  • 1 lg. green pepper, minced
  • 3 tbsp. salad oil
  • 3 (15 ounce.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 ounce.) can tomato paste
  • 1/4 pound mushrooms, washed and sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Directions

    In large skillet, saute/fry onions, celery, green pepper, and garlic in salad oil till clear and somewhat golden brown in color.

    In Dutch oven, brown grnd beef well; drain off excess grease.

    Add in sauteed mix, seasonings, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and mushrooms.

    Simmer over low heat for 20-30 min, stirring occasionally.

    Serve over cooked pasta, or possibly use in lasagna or possibly chili.
