Basic Nonfat Sweet Dough

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. nonfat milk
  • 1/2 c. liquid Butter Buds
  • 2 egg whites
  • 6 to 7 c. flour

Directions

    In large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast; blend well.

    In saucepan, heat water, milk and Butter Buds until warm (120° to 130°).

    Add with egg to flour mixture.

    Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes at medium.

    By hand, stir in 3 cups flour.

    Knead in 1 to 2 cups flour until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 to 60 minutes.
