- 1 12 cups sifted flour
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup butter or 12 cup shortening
- 4 tablespoons ice-cold water
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

2Sift together flour and salt, and cut in half the shortening or butter until mixture is crumbly.

3Cut in remaining shortening.

4Do not overmix.

5Add 1 tablespoon water and gently toss.

6Repeat this until the mixture forms a ball.

7Flatten on a flour surface, and roll out to 1/8 inch thickness.

8Fit into a pie plate, and prick all over.

9Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

10Use in any recipe calling for a par baked crust.
