  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. shortening
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 c. mashed potatoes
  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 7 1/2 c. all-purpose four

Directions

    Cream together the sugar and shortening.

    Add the rest of the ingredients and stir well.

    Dough may be sticky.

    Cover and raise until double in bulk.

    Makes 2 loaves of bread or 1 loaf and 12 rolls.

    Bake at 350° to 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.
