Basic Sweet Dough

Ingredients
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/3 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 3 eggs (at room temperature)
- 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Combine milk, sugar and butter in small saucepan.

2Heat over low heat until butter melts and sugar dissolves.

3Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm water in warmed bowl.

4Add lukewarm milk mixture and 5 cups of flour.

5Attach bowl and dough hook.

6Turn to speed 2 and mix 3 minutes.

7Continue on speed 2. Add remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until dough clings to hook and cleans side of bowl, about 5 minutes.

8Knead on speed 2 for 3 to 5 minutes longer.
