- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 -5 garlic cloves, minced
- 12 medium onion, diced
- 2 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 28 ounces water
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 12 teaspoon dried oregano
- 14 teaspoon fennel seed
- 14 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Saute onions in olive oil until soft then add garlic.

2Saute less than a minute then add tomato paste.

3Saute for 3 to 5 minutes until it turns dark in color.

4Add tomatoes and all other ingredients.

5Simmer on low uncovered for 1/12 to 2 hours or until the consistency you prefer.
