- 1/2 cup low-fat milk
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cup warm water
- 5 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Directions

1Place milk, sugar, salt, and butter into a small sauce pan.

2Heat over low heat until butter melts and sugar disolves.

3Cool to lukewarm.

4Dissolve yeast in warm water in warmed mixer bowl.

5Add lukewarm milk mixture and 4 1/2 cups of flour.

6Attatch bowl and PowerKnead Spiral Dough hook to mixer.

7Turn on speed 2 and mix for about 1 minute.

8Continuing on Speed 2, add remaining flour 1/2 a cup at a time, and mix about 1 and 1/2 minutes or until dough starts to clean sides of the bowl.

9Knead on Speed 2 for 2 minutes longer, or until dough is smooth and elastic.

10Dough will be slightly sticky to the touch.

11Place dough in greased bowl, turning to grease top.

12Cover.

13Let rise in warm place, free from draft for 1 hor, or until dough is doubled in bulk.

14Punch dough down and divide in half (if disired).

15Shape each half into a loaf, and place in greased baking pans (if disired).

16Cover.

17Let rise in warm place free from draft, for 1 hour, or wuntil doubled in bulk.

18Bake at 400F for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.

19Remove from pans immediatly and cool on wired racks.
