  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 potato small, diced
  • 1 carrot small, diced
  • 1/4 cup peas
  • 2 cups water
  • salt
  • 4 tablespoons cream

Directions

    In a saucepan, heat the oil and add the rice. Stir using a wooden spoon.

    Add the onion and garlic while still stirring.

    Once the rice becomes transparent, add the potato, carrot, peas, water, and salt to taste.

    Stir and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and cover. Do not stir the rice in this step.

    Continue to cook until the water has evaporated. Remove the garlic and onion.

    Serve.
