Basil Butter Beans

  • 2 c. fresh green beans, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped celery
  • 1 1/2 tsp. minced fresh basil or 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Directions

    In saucepan, combine beans, onion, celery and water.

    Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until beans are tender to taste.

    Drain; add butter, basil, salt and pepper.

    Stir to coat.

    Serve immediately.

    Yields 2 servings.
