- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 large can evaporated milk
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water in large mixing bowl; stir in ginger and 1 tablespoon sugar.

2Let stand in warm place until mixture begins to bubble.

3Add remaining sugar, oil, milk, salt and 3 cups flour.

4Beat at medium speed of electric mixer or by hand until smooth.

5Pour on floured board and knead lightly.

6Divide dough in 2 balls.

7Place in greased 1 pound coffee can.

8Place greased plastic lid on and let dough raise until top pops off.
