- 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
- 3 Tbsp. sugar, divided
- 13 oz. evaporated milk
- 2 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 to 4 1/2 c. unsifted flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Stir in ginger and 1 tablespoon sugar; let stand in warm place for 15 minutes, or until bubbly. Stir in remaining ingredients, except flour.

3Add flour, beating with electric mixer, 1 cup at a time, beating well after each addition.

4Stir in last cup by hand.
