- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. shortening (oil)
- 1 egg
- 3 c. or more self-rising flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water in large bowl.

2Stir in sugar, shortening and egg.

3Add flour, a little at a time.

4Spoon batter into greased muffin pans and immediately bake at 375° for 10 minutes.

5Store rest of batter in covered container in refrigerator.

6Keeps a week.
