  • 1 large carrot, sliced thin
  • 1/2 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 c. meat stock (may use bouillon cubes)
  • 3 to 4 c. cooked, dried beans
  • 2 to 3 c. cut cabbage
  • salt and pepper to taste

    Cook carrot, celery and onion in stock until almost tender, about 12 minutes.

    Add beans and cabbage; cook 5 minutes longer. Season.
