  • canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon corn meal
  • 2 cups white pea beans cooked
  • 1 cup brown rice cooked
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds coarsely chopped
  • chunky salsa cup prepared
  • 1 green onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

    Preheat oven to 375F (190C).

    Brush a cookie sheet with canola oil and dust with the cornmeal.

    Set aside.

    In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly.

    Divide the mixture into six portions.

    On a piece of wax paper or foil, shape each portion into a round or oblong patty.

    Pick up wax paper and flip patty onto baking sheet.

    Repeat with remaining mixture.

    Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden.
