- 1 (16 oz.) can cut green beans
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- grease (for deep frying)
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Drain the beans.

2Set aside.

3Combine egg, milk and beans. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.

4Add beans mixture to dry ingredients.

5Drop batter by tablespoonfuls into deep Crisco heated to 365°.

6Fry a few at a time, until fritters are golden brown, about 4 minutes.

7Drain on paper towel.

8Makes about 24.
