  • 1 (16 oz.) can cut green beans
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • grease (for deep frying)
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk

    Drain the beans.

    Set aside.

    Combine egg, milk and beans. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.

    Add beans mixture to dry ingredients.

    Drop batter by tablespoonfuls into deep Crisco heated to 365°.

    Fry a few at a time, until fritters are golden brown, about 4 minutes.

    Drain on paper towel.
