Bean Ham Soup

- 1 1/2 c. dry beans
- 8 c. water
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- ham bone
- 1/2 c. potatoes, diced
- 1/2 c. carrots, diced
- 1/4 tsp. marjoram, crushed
Directions

1In large pot, heat beans to boiling; chop onions and add to beans.

2Add salt and ham bone.

3Cover and boil gently, 1 to 2 1/2 hours or until beans are soft and ham is tender.

4Remove bone; add meat from bone to beans along with remaining ingredients; cook until tender.

5Serve.
