- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can French fried onions
- 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1 (10 3/4 or 11 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp. thyme leaves
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 (16 oz.) can French-style green beans, drained
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Mix meat, half of the onions, the bread crumbs, 1/4 cup of soup, the egg, thyme leaves, salt and pepper. Press mixture evenly against the sides and bottom of a 9-inch pie pan.

3Turn beans into meat-lined pan; spread remaining soup over beans and bake uncovered for 25 minutes.

4Arrange remaining onions on top; bake 10 minutes longer.

5Cool 5 minutes, then cut into wedges.
