Ingredients

  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1 can green beans
  • 1 can yellow wax beans
  • 1 can pinto beans
  • 1 small can butter beans
  • 1 can chickpeas (or garbanzo beans)
  • 1 small can English peas
  • 1 or 2 c. diced celery
  • 1 medium onion (sliced and separated into rings)
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • chopped pimentos

Directions

    Combine first three ingredients and boil ten minutes.

    Cool and add vinegar.

    Mix remaining ingredients and cover with vinegar mixture.

    Cover tightly and refrigerate.
