- 3 to 6 slices bacon
- 2 c. soaked beans, strained
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- salt
- pepper
- paprika
- ham pieces
Directions

1Cook bacon.

2Put strained beans in pot.

3Cover beans and bacon with cold water until beans are soft.

4Put in strainer fixed on a 3-quart pot and separate beans, bacon and broth.

5Put broth in pot, set beans aside and throw out bacon.

6In small frying pan, melt butter and add flour.

7Add to broth.

8Cook 2 to 3 minutes. Add beans.

9Season with salt, pepper and paprika.

10Add ham pieces. Simmer.
