- 1 lb. Northern beans
- 1 ham bone
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- 1 c. diced potatoes
- 2 tsp. minced parsley
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Soak beans overnight.

2Drain and add fresh water, cook slowly with ham bone for 2 hours.

3Put in onions, potatoes, celery, tomato sauce, parsley and seasoning.

4Cook slowly until vegetables are soft.

5Remove ham bone.

6Trim off any meat and cut in small pieces to add to the soup.
