- 2 c. favorite beans (kidney, black-eyed, Northern, etc.)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. chicken broth powder
- 1 Tbsp. fresh garlic or 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper (optional)
Directions

1Rinse beans thoroughly and soak overnight.

2Rinse beans again and cover with water.

3Add broth powder, garlic, oil, salt and pepper.

4Cook until tender.

5Last 30 minutes add chopped onions. Onions may be sauteed in small amount of butter before adding to beans for extra flavor.
