Ingredients
- 1 lb. half runner green beans (frozen or canned may be substituted)
- 4 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces and cooked crisp
- 1/3 c. finely chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. monosodium glutamate (optional)
- pepper to taste
Directions

1Wash, string and break beans.

2Cook 15 to 20 minutes in water until tender.

3Meanwhile, fry bacon until crisp.

4Add onion, vinegar, water, sugar, salt, m.s.g. and pepper to bacon and drippings in skillet.

5Bring to a boil.

6Drain cooked beans.

7Pour bacon mixture over beans and toss lightly together.
