- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 5 c. milk
- nutmeg to taste
- salt to taste
- fresh pepper to taste
Directions

1In a saucepan combine butter and flour to make a roux; cook approximately 5 minutes, until roux is cooked.

2Then add warm milk in small amounts, stirring until all the milk has been added. Turn heat up and cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens. Add nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste.
