  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 (family size) box Velveeta macaroni and cheese
  • 1/2 to 1 qt. tomatoes, undrained
  • 6 to 8 slices cheese

Directions

    Brown and drain ground beef; add salt and pepper to taste. Saute chopped onion and celery.

    Prepare macaroni and cheese according to directions.

    In a 9 x 13-inch or larger dish, mix meat, onions, celery, macaroni and cheese and tomatoes (undrained). Stir to mix well.

    Smooth out and lay cheese slices over the mixture.

    Bake at 350° until the mixture boils and the cheese melts.

    Serve.
