Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1 can (16 oz.) whole tomatoes, undrained
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 (10 oz.) cans beef consomme
- 2 soup cans of water
- 2 c. diced raw potatoes
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
- 1 tsp. caraway seed
- 1 tsp. dried marjoram
Directions

1Heat butter in 4 to 5 quart Dutch oven over medium-low heat. Add onions, garlic and ground beef.

2Saute until brown about 10 minutes.

3Add tomatoes breaking into smaller pieces as you stir well.

4Add remaining ingredients and boil.

5Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

6Ladle into soup bowls and top with cheese toast.
