- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 3 lb. sirloin tip (cut for stew)
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 10 oz. beef bouillon or broth
- 10 oz. red wine
Directions

1Braise beef in margarine.

2Add onion.

3Mix flour and seasonings and add to beef.

4Pour in bouillon and wine and scrape pan well.

5Cover tightly and bake at 325° for 4 hours.

6Serve over egg noodles or rice pilaf.
