- 3 lb. round steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 c. Burgundy wine
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 (6 oz.) can small boiling onions
- 16 baby carrots
- 2 Tbsp. margarine (soft)
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- hot rice or noodles, cooked
Directions

1In ovenproof Dutch oven, brown beef on stovetop in 1/4 cup oil.

2After browning on all sides, add wine, water, broth, thyme and garlic. Cover and bake in a 350° oven for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Add onions and carrots.

3Cover and bake 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.

4Remove meat and vegetables.
