- 1 1/2 lb. beef chuck, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 c. Burgundy
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef consomme
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- mushrooms
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
Directions

1Combine beef, wine, consomme, onion, salt, pepper and mushrooms in casserole.

2Mix sifted flour and bread crumbs.

3Stir into beef mixture.

4Cover casserole tightly.

5Bake for three hours or until done at 300°.

6Serve over rice or noodles.
