- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 2 1/2 c. tomatoes (No. 2 can)
- salt and pepper
- 4 c. shredded cabbage
- 1 c. soft bread crumbs
Directions

1Brown chuck in shortening.

2Add onion and celery; cook 5 minutes.

3Add tomatoes, salt and pepper.

4Place 1/2 in casserole; cover with 1/2 of cabbage.

5Repeat layers.

6Top with bread crumbs. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.
